CONSIDERING NEEDING A REPAIR:
#1 AN OUT THE FRONT KNIFE IS ON A TRACK, IF SOMETHING IMPEDES THE PROGRESS OF THE KNIFE DEPLOYING OR RETRACTING, THE KNIFE WILL DISENGAGE FROM THE SPRING, THIS IS WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO DO. IF THIS HAPPENS THE BLADE WILL BE "LOOSE" IN THE HANDLE. SIMPLY PULL OUT THE BLADE (NOT TOUCHING THE SHARP PART) WITH SOME FORCE. YOU WILL FEEL THE SPRING RESET. IF YOU PULL IT HARD OUT AND IT DOESN'T RESET EMAIL US, YOU MAY NEED A NEW SPRING (NOT VERY COMMON).
#2 IF THE BLADE FAILS FROM TIME TO TIME FROM LOCKING IN OR OUT YOUR KNIFE MAY NEED TO BE CLEANED. TO DO THIS DRIP A GOOD AMOUNT OF 3 IN 1 OIL OR GUN OIL IN THE TOP. LET IT SEEP DOWN INTO THE KNIFE. DEPLOY AND RETRACT MANY TIMES, THEN LET THE OIL DRIP OUT THE TOP. SOMETIMES DEBRIS CAN JAM THE BLADE, CLEANING SHOULD LOOSEN IT ENOUGH TO COME OUT.
#3 WE DO NOT VOID WARRANTIES. SO IF YOU ARE THE HANDY TYPE AND WANT TO TAKE THE KNIFE APART AND GIVE IT A GOOD CLEANING, THIS IS WHAT TO DO. PUT THE BLADE IN THE UNSET POSITION. THIS CAN BE DONE BY HOLDING ON TO THE NON-SHARP PART OF THE BLADE AND RETRACTING THE KNIFE WITH THE TRIGGER. NOW THE BLADE WILL BE FLOPPY. THEN TAKE OFF THE CLIP BY COUNTER TURNING THE GLASS BREAKER WITH SMALL SPIKE (SOMETHING TO FIT IN THE HOLES). THEN TAKE OUT THE 6 SCREWS (T6 FOR SMALL T9 FOR LARGE). FLIP THE TOP OFF THEN STOP! TAKE A PICTURE OF THE TOP PART OFF AND BOTTOM PART UNTOUCHED. THEN YOU CAN SEE IF THIS NEEDS CLEANING OR IF THE SPRING IS BROKEN. WE CAN SEND NEW SPRING ONCE YOU CONFIRM THIS. SPRINGS DO NOT GET WEAK, THEY EITHER WORK OR THEY ARE BROKEN. ANYTIME YOU HAVE A KNIFE OPEN, BE EXTRA CAREFUL NOT TO MESS WITH THE "LITTLE STOPPER SQUARES" THAT KEEP THE KNIFE IN OR OUT. THESE HAVE A VERY LITTLE SPRING BEHIND THEM AND YOU WILL NEVER FIND IT IF SPRUNG OUT. REMEMBER TO HAVE BLADE IN THE MIDDLE PART OF THE HANDLE WHEN PUTTING BACK TOGETHER TOO. CLIP NEEDS TO BE INSTALLED OR THE GLASS BREAKER SCREW MIGHT IMPEDE THE KNIFE FROM RETRACTING. HOLD THE TRIGGER IN PLACE SAME TIME YOU PLACE TOP BACK ON, THIS LOCKS IT IN THE CORRECT CHANNEL. THEN SEE STEP #1 TO RESET THE KNIFE.
